Ext English 1: Possibility of specifying a text?

Suppose I better prepare the third text that I've been intentionally avoiding then :(

Ext English 1: Possibility of specifying a text?

How could they do that? People only study 3 texts out of a much larger list.

    Genetics, the code broken

I did the same thing, and then I was like, oh, and just wrote a little this could happen but this is not the case here as they both code for the same amino acid :P

    Options

I didn't know what to draw as graphs (genetics), so I just used punnett squares.

    Question: Extension English 1 IMPORTANT

Thanks! I checked all the past questions, they've never asked for 3. Hopefully this year they're not feeling too cruel.

    Question: Extension English 1 IMPORTANT

Hey guys, So for extension English, our teacher has instructed us to use 2 of the prescribed texts and 2 pieces of related material. This is completely prepared, that's not the problem. Is everyone else only using 2 of their prescribed texts, or are you using all 3? :uhoh:

    BOS investigating Q8.

Re: extra marks!! That pisses me off so much. I only picked B cells because I thought that the board was trying to be tricky by putting cytotoxic and killer in. Ugh, that leaves my m/c at only 16 :( Disappointment: overflow

    General Thoughts: Biology

I think I only got 16 or 17 :( Doesn't matter though, multiple choice is always my weakest part in biology. I know that doesn't really make any sense. But I think I did the written sections really well. I reckon a band 6 isn't impossible.

    General Thoughts: Biology

    Hahahaha that's amazing

    General Thoughts: Biology

Yeah, but I thought they were B cells. But hey, I don't know. Cytotoxic was my original answer, but it seemed a bit weird for them to have killer and cytotoxic when we've been told the whole time that they're the same thing

    General Thoughts: Biology

That's right I think, water in the phloem does build up pressure to take it to the sink

    General Thoughts: Biology

Well the question was "which type of cells destroy virally infected cells?" Phagocytosis is B cells. The viruses get into a host cell and do their thing, and to seal it off the phagocyte comes along, swallows it and kills it.

    General Thoughts: Biology

Killer T are the same as cytoxic T. I'm pretty sure the answer was B cells, macrophages etc. Proteins are bound to lipids. That's one that I know I got wrong. It's one of those OH DAMN I KNEW THAT ones!

    General Thoughts: Biology

I thought it was a very straightforward and simple paper! I did genetics.

Section I - Core (Pompeii and Herculaneum)

Ahhh that's it, I forgot their names and said "gods of the pantry" :(

    Section IV - Historical Periods

I prepared for all the kings, though if there was an Amenhotep III question or a queens question I would have been flipping ecstatic as they were the areas I was most confident in. Horemheb's reign was quite boring, but I found it much more interesting than foreign policy. *Shudder*

    Section IV - Historical Periods

I did New Kingdom Egypt Amenhotep III to the death of Ramesses II, and did the Horemheb question. I went in with a heart set on completely avoiding anything to do with foreign relations, and I danced in my seat a little bit when I saw the Horemheb question. :') I think I did pretty well, I had...

    No energy/modivation after Ancient Exam

UGH me too! Ancient was so huge and emotionally and physically draining. I've been trying to wrap my head around bio but I'm struggling so much.

    Section II - Ancient Societies

I also choked a bit on the last one, especially when I came out, because I realised I didn't really talk very much about leisure and everyday life. Which is a huge shot in the foot because I studied so hard for it after I made a similar mistake in the trials. I talked about Lycurgun reforms...

    Section II - Ancient Societies

With Reference to Source R and other sources, what does the evidence reveal about people's lives in this period? "He [Lycurgus] even authorised [the Spartans] to use other people's household servants if anybody needed them. He also authorised hunting dogs to be shared, so that men who need...
