The test overall was alright. Not easy but not hard. I'd like to know where under the syllabus you need to know employer associations.... Also, 2 questions. For the question with the opening balance/withdraw/etc was it a) $5000 b) April And the question about compliance to law was it paying tax...

    Section I: Multiple Choice

If the question did not say consecutive then yes you would be right. But it is consecutive. Thereby you have to remove the previous day/rain. Think of it as a tree diagram
  10. J

    Section I: Multiple Choice

No. If there are 31 days in October and there is an expected 8 rainy days and then the first day is rainy and they expect the second to be it becomes 8/31 x 7 (the remaining expected) x 30 (the remaining days). That's how in THEORY probability works. If you threw a coin 9 times and it was heads...

If you did 140mins will probably be 1 mark out of the 2 since you did the degrees x4 = time difference. Also, for the financial probability expectation crap the answer was $2..? But the answers which were published say it is $0 no loss or win....???????

    Did you do 140 mins?
  13. J

    Section I: Multiple Choice

It was 2^21 not 2^20 if I'm correct. And the probability question was DEFINITELY 8/31 x 7/30 If it is going to rain 8 times expected in October and it does on day one, there is now 7 expected days of rain in the remaining 30. Hence 8/31 x 7/30

HAHA felt the exact same thing... especially when looking at that triangle question and they want degrees and angles and lengths and proving 114 and all I know is a2+b2=c2

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

What about the question with the time zones for Singapore and Australia, did you get 140 mins (2hrs 20 mins) as there were 35degree difference in N,S So 35degrees x 4 minutes = 140 minutes difference And that question with the Simpsons rule was weird.. everyone i talk to got something...

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

Yep thats right. And then you add that 15% to 858.5
  19. J

    General Thoughts: General Mathematics

You had to add I forgot what it was but like whatever the number was (like 850) + the small amount of like $5 for the thing... And then 15% of it. Not 15% of each. It was a weird question with lots of numbers but yeh... Also could someone please reply as to whether it was c=120000/n

2L of fuel to to uni =$3.34 2L to get back (implied) =$3.34 So it's $6.68 per day for the trip to university AND back (implied) $6.68 x 10 = $66.80- $36.40 =$30.40 cheaper to travel by bus
