Whats this thing about flexible first year Engineering being 'dangerous'?

the thing is that some streams of engineering have some courses that you should be taking in 1st year. putting them off till 2nd year (which you will probably do if you are are doing flexible) so it kind of puts you behind the ball compared to students who have already chosen their major. i...

Help with B. Arts course structure? :S

UNSW Handbook Program - Arts - 3403 its says on the page that you just do level 1 courses in 1st year, id guess these are pretty easy going introductory type courses. major/minor type stuff is left for 2nd year onwards it looks pretty flexible leaving you to find your own way

    Did Google rip off Leapfish?

the leapfish video looks a lot cooler, someone really went to town with that, but i dont think you can say that googled ripped off leapfish. it is a good idea and google just wants to get on board whenever something big comes along, there are always loads of imitations.

    Hecs

depends on the course. for some courses you dont buy a textbook, but you buy a course pack, which basically a couple hundred pages of printed course notes. these are cheaper than textbooks only $20-40 other courses require textbooks, which can get expensive. a rough range would be $50-150. you...

    UAC and uni sites cut-offs

far out, if you want to do B Bus/Comp Sci then just put it down as your 1st preference what Cem said is all true, but it shouldnt matter. you have no way of knowing what thousands of other students are going to put down, so you cant assume that the course cutoff will be too high. all you can...
