STRATEGIES TO DO WELL IN EACH SUBJECT

G'day Velocifire! Just a heads up as I'm still in preliminary and different strategies work for different people :) Yes practice questions are difficult at the start! However as the old saying goes: no pain no gain ;) I find the more questions you do (in your weakest areas) the difficulty of...

STRATEGIES TO DO WELL IN EACH SUBJECT

G'day fellow Boser's! Imagine a world where all you did was memorise formulas for Mathematics and not attempt even ONE practice question. What mark do you think you would get? Safe to say, it's likely it won't be a good one. Although drastic, this situation shows how some strategies work...

    SCHOOL CAPTAIN TIPS

G'day B1andB2 No I'm actually not from America, I'm an Aussie to the way I spread my Vegemite on some fairy bread and a NSW-er to the way I boo when QLD cheats in State of Origin ;) TL;DR - Yep! I'm an Aussie :)

G'day my fellow boredofstudies members! This year I'm planning for running for school captain and was hoping for ANY advice and tips to help me get there :) I know Australian schools are different from American ones concerning how to run for captain so would you as a student be less likely to...

TOPIC 2: MARKETING (CONSUMER LAW) - Which ones do we need to know in detail?

G'day moon_princess I haven't yet read the textbook for marketing or learnt about it in class, but I'd assume that you would be required to find the name of one law per each type that is listed in the syllabus.

    Business and Eco

G'day McSmoodie! I'm currently doing preliminary economics while doing HSC (accelerated) business studies. Which is the: Easiest: business studies Most interesting: economics The content can overlap. In my experience it can give you an edge in business on some concepts like economies of...

What science/maths/english textbooks are 2021 students using for HSC???

For ECO I'd recommend primarily the Dixon market economy book, but supplementing it with Tim Riley. Dixon is pretty good at explaining but sometimes he can miss out on some specific content, that's where Riley comes in! DONT COPY EVERYTHING IN RILEY, there's way too much irrelevant information...

WHAT IS BEST WAY TO LEARN

Great question! Sorry I left it out. I don't think I have time for all and even if a did, I'm not sure whether I could gain access to multiple resources with the resources I have. Sorry if it makes it a bit more complicated, but what do you think is the best method?

    TRIALS PAPERS VS HSC PAPER

Hi guys! With an internal assessment approaching which is better to use: past trials (+internal assessments from other schools) or past HSC papers? I've heard about people saving HSC papers for the HSC but I'm not too sure. I hope this thread helps any other kids struggling with this. CHIN UP...

    BEST WAY TO USE TEXTBOOKS

Thanks nunyabeezwax! Definitely. The enrichment questions are a bit of a waste of time usually. However, if I'm not entirely certain what exercises we're going to do (cambridge is quite all over the place) should I do Fitzpatrick instead and reinforced by cambridge or is it a waste? Thanks in...

IS JACARANDA A WASTE OF TIME

Hi guys! I've been using the Jacaranda textbook for my HSC year and I've got to say there is a lot of useless and enigmatic information, especially it seems in the HR processes section where it misses internal and external recruitment. I'm just wondering, what are you guys using to supplement...

    Lecture Slides

Hi mate! For high school what I did was made summarised notes on a topic which would be explored on a PowerPoint from the textbook first than I’d analyse the slides and revise or add any info I haven’t included. This is the way I have done it but it’s best to find a way that suits you. If you...

    A CALL FOR HELP!

Hi guys! This is my last stitch effort. I can't find a single LIFO case study! The pricing or inventory method. I know there is a low chance but if there is a generous soul out there please share! If I receive an answer I will ensure that once I finish HSC I will upload my diverse collection of...

How's everyone coping with Year 11 so far?

I know right! Year 11 has been a big change for me too. Especially for math extension, who even gives out math assignments? Even then who requires validation tests to those assignments? I miss normal math exams :/
