    My 4unit tutor =/?

... sorry but i have to bump this up. how is $55 an hour too expensive? if he's a student then yeah, it's expensive but i paid $75 an hour for my physics tutor and he was an exam marker/teacher. i think $55 is fine.

after medicine/dentistry, what is the next most difficult course to enter?

obviously this depends on the uni, but law is one of the first that comes to mind. however, if you're ambitious enough to move interstate there are law courses in the low 90's and even high 80's. brainstorm. go.

    Bond Uni med interviews

international recognition is the least of your concerns when the degree itself cost $270,000 i honestly don't know why ANYONE would fork that out. wealthy or not.

What was ur first day @ Uni like, Uni Students?

just to bump up an old thread that has a lot of relevance as uni is just about to start for most peeps. i know heaps of people doing med where i am :D i expect the first day to be pretty awkward. also, PLEASE DON'T PRETEND TO TEXT to look like you're busy when waiting before lectures, etc. it's...

    Biomedicine

i was fairly sure melbourne uni was different if you wanted to get into their grad MBBS program. i'm fairly sure you have to do certain subjects and biomedicine is considered one of the few acceptable undergrad degrees for entry. that's why biomed at melbourne uni has a cutoff in the high 90's.

    Biomedicine

haha nope unfortunately it's not that simple you will need to sit the GAMSAT + attend an interview and entry into the program will be based on your performance of the two. don't listen to that "guaranteed entry" bollocks for high scoring year 12 applicants. the uni stated they know very...

Does undergraduate dentistry exist in Australia?

i know plenty of people in dent with ~97. had your friend sat the UMAT and applied everywhere, they would probably be in dent now.

Does undergraduate dentistry exist in Australia?

lol not all dental schools are like la trobe in that they just require a really really high TER but yes, your ATAR aim should be at least ~97. however i know plenty of people who got into griffith uni dent with 80-95 ATAR

Law students and their unwarranted ego.

i wasn't trying to be funny but ok, whatever makes you happy i just find it amusing how seriously you take this. STUDENT GOSSIP IS SERIOUS BUSINESS

Law students and their unwarranted ego.

    it's not generalising if it's true ;)

Law students and their unwarranted ego.

it's pretty obvious however that law students are not as humble as other students they seem to like reiterating that they are law students as well

Law students and their unwarranted ego.

law is fucking easy to get into when compared to medicine or dentistry.

    Who got Newcastle/UNE interview offers?

i didn't get one because i didn't get the cutoff, but i assume they don't send rejection letters?

    "there's always JCU"

something i've always wondered about. JCU is recommended a lot because it doesn't look at UMAT, but i've never actually met anyone from there studying medicine/dentistry. is it actually really hard to get in there? i assume there would be many more applicants than other universities because they...

    Griffith Dentistry

I read on the medentry website that they require a min of 50 in all sections. However, I haven't heard this from any other sources and most people regard QLD as being the only university with such a cut-off practice. Could anyone please clear this up?

    Queensland

i just read on the medentry website that griffith requires 50 in each section (!!) however, it doesn't specify if it's just for med, or for dentistry as well. does anyone know about this?
  19. D

    Queensland

soo many people will be applying there. i'm gonna try, but it will be pushing it. i don't mind doing dentistry, i still got a few options there....

    Queensland

ah crap, i got pretty much no universities left for med.
