Hi. I looked up the program of study for the degree I wanna do and all the Units are GEOS units with about one or two BIOL units. Does that mean I won't be doing anything related to Maths throughout my degree? Thanks.

The school certificate is pretty easy, even if you start studying 1 month till the exams you can still get high marks. Learn from the textbooks and do as much past papers as you can before the exams. For English practise writing stories, letters, articles etc. Practise writing short...

Hmm yeah I was also curious about that. Do we like take down notes or something when the lecture person is speaking? Or do we just sit there and listen to the lecture person talk and try to understand what he/she is saying? :confused:

I got 85 for std english. Getting mid to high band 5's in std english scales pretty good I reckon. Hard to get band 6 in standard tho. Good luck to the 09'ers doing std english, its a pretty good subject tbh, enjoyed it all throughout year 12. Whoever gets 100 uai doing standard...

I aim for what I can realistically achieve - Pass or Credit (if credit is the next thing after pass). The job prospects of two people who succesfully completed the same degree but got different grades will still be exactly the same.

Is Uni "hard" in general? "Harder" than the HSC? Which types of degrees would you classify as "difficult" or "hard"? Would I be surprised at how 'hard' or 'easy' Uni actually is? Just curious about the level of difficulty in tertiary education.... Thanks. :rofl:

Nope, school rank has no affect on marks. But your rank within your cohort + your external mark will both affect your final mark. :)
