    Get Your Id Cards Now

It looks like it depends if they're busy. Sometimes you'll get asked, sometimes you have to ask for it. I think it depends on the person behind the desk.

IMPORTANT!!! URGENT!!! Sony Ericsson K610i vs. LG U830 (Three Mobiles)

I've got the K610i, and I haven't really had a problem with memory yet. I haven't filled the bundled 64MB miniSD card yet! Everything else about it so far I haven't really had a problem with.

    general UNSW chit-chat

No, because you're not enroled in second session yet.

    Buses to and from UNSW

Not sure where you got that from. Express buses run during peak hours and run late into the afternoon. If there are no expresses you can catch the regular 39x buses. See the stickies in this forum...

    SDD Major Project Ideas

You can understand why they would do that though, its easier to standardise marking and mark more consistently.

    cse mentoring

Mentors have no say it in, bradh arranges the allocations based on your program.

    Buses to and from UNSW

If going to uni, they take you to the front entrance of UNSW. If going to Central, they take you right outside Central station.

    Buses to and from UNSW

Yes expresses in O-week - haven't been on a bus for a while now but I vaguely remember the buses were free during O-week. Expresses only during session and exam periods.

    Hey are Macbooks any good?

Not sure about reliable. Everyone I know who has a MacBook has had it go back for repairs at one stage or another.

    Buses to and from UNSW

During peak hour in the mornings (between 8:30 and 9am) the 891/895 are there on Eddy Ave every minute. Go to o-week and to see what the transport is like. The express stops running late arvo/early evening. You can catch the regular buses outside of the 891/895 hours.

    maths 1a

You don't REALLY need anything, but it would certainly help.

    Get Your Id Cards Now

Its printed when the system recognises you as an enroled full time student. If you have some classes that are still pending then the system won't print the symbol, but the person behind the desk can stick one on.

    Computer Science GenED Question

I've done GENS subjects and its fine. GENSxxxx are "not available to combined Computer Science/Bachelor of Science (program 3983) students " Its referring to comp sci/BSc students, not straight comp sci students. That won't be allowed as it'll break the generic gened rules.

Computer Processor Help ( Which one to get)

Thats what ReadyBoost is meant to do; use other storage as extra memory. Personally I'm skeptical how well it works, never seen it in action though. Modern RAM you're talking about bandwidths of several gigabits per sec. USB 2 is 480 megabits per sec.
