    Isn't it qualitative because different people will see it at different lengths. It requires the human eye to determine how deep it should go. To me that sounds like a quality. You may be right though.

    As QZP said, the Secchi disc is a qualitative test. A quantitative test would be (I think - could someone please confirm), evaporating the water and weighing the solid remains.

    just curious (math ext 2 question)

    As far as I'm aware, if you do extension one maths, 1 unit will count of 3u and 2 units will count of 2u. If you do extension two maths, 2 units will count of 3u and 2 units will count as 4u
