    Volvos

What do you mean? More than happy to take one for a spin and lets be honest I'm not expecting much from a low pressure turbo but I doubt the auto would be anything special like (obviously not a proper comparison) a DSG box.

    Volvos

was 2000 when they got bought out by ford? because thats when they moved off from the box designs.

    Volvos

the mark is somewhere around 15k which leaves a bit of change for onroads and comp insurance its a shame that only beigers have bought volvos and they've all opted for auto boxes, ESPECIALLY on the turbo models EDIT: def going for a turbo, off restrictions in april, looking to buy around...

    Volvos

Are they like, any good? 9 grand for a 2.3 turbo from 2000 doesn't seem too bad given the level of equipment etc in it. Decent engine/brake/suspension setup and these cars look like a decent amount of fun. Would be looking at something from 2000-05 because theres no way in hell I could fork out...

    Pre Uni College homebush

Your money is much better spent elsewhere. I was a student there in years 11 and 12 for maths, only because the teacher I had was unavailable privately. Now, it's just a cash cow. I worked there until June last year, just after management stopped focusing so much on the education side of things...

    Golf - FOUR!

Their service is fine from personal experience, not that you'd really be in contact with VW if you're buying a MKIV. Curious to see what issues they have (not denying it, just curious).

    Good/best car between 40 - 60k

ah didn't know it got repealed. Regardless, saying that the price includes additional charges is exactly the same as what they used to do anyway???

    Good/best car between 40 - 60k

fwiw dealerships are only allowed to quote the driveaway prices in ads - online/radio/print/tv etc. It's to stop all the idiots that don't realise they're going to get charged a tonne by the dealer/govt.

fyi, astroe, that big silver thing on the lexus is removable have an engine cover on my vw, it comes off it you gently pull at it won't even need a screwdriver and ANY new car has to go back to the (a) dealer if you want to keep its warranty which I assume you would because I doubt the OP is...
