    Centrelink and Honours year?

I believe with the changes that they made with Centrelink you can now do up to Masters with support. Definately can do Honours. Make sure you don't go over the time limit for the original degree, I don't think they like that.

    University application stress

Its no use stressing. Its pretty much based on your UAI. Thats it. No one cares what you do in your spare time as long as academically you are doing alright. Yes you do have to pay HECS if you are overseas. As they cannot judge your income you will be required to pay a percentage of your...

Pay off HECS now or better accommodation?

You do know if Centrelink finds out about your grandparents giving you money you'll have to pay Centrelink back. Just letting you know that. I also thought you had to take 18 months of, instead of year, before you could claim, I could be wrong about that though, because I became independent...

    ANU bonus atar points?

If you are worried about getting in do UniTest. Its not too difficult and it can, as another said, raise your UAI by up to five points. ANU doesn't have bonus points, I am not sure why but I would imagine it had something to do with the ACT not having a "HSC", and therefore not really having...

Is it very difficult to 'credit transfer' to Australian National University?

Its also definitely worth going to ANU over UC if at all possible. ANU seem pretty flexible, you can do that uni test thing, and they let people in with lower marks sometimes. I don't find them overly strict.

    Concerns regarding my uni degree

I had that exact same thing happen to me, except in high school. I had always had dreams, was reasonably hard working etc. but then I just stopped. It was too much. I left school and moved to a different city and worked for six months or so, just being alone sort of, then I came back and...

    What to do?

I know a fair few people who have done degrees at ANU and then left Canberra after. Found jobs in Sydney or somewhere else. I guess its what you choose, I mean you can do whatever you want with your degree, I guess some people choose to join the public service because its easy or something but...

How do unis determine the students they take in for a new course?

I think it would be a popular course but I'm not sure. If I were to do any science it would be that. Apply anyway, even if you don't get in the main round often people get in through later rounds.

    transfer to law

Did you read the stickies? I understand that you are new and all, but generally one of the stickies (its called 'On the Topic of University Transfers...) can answer these sorts of questions. The stickies are there for a reason. When you say mid-high credit what do you mean? Do you mean a...

    Any help?

Check the PDF in the transfer sticky.

Early entry and Applying through UAC.

I don't know if early applications work for non HSC students. They are designed to alleviate the stress of the HSC (I think) so I can't imagine why someone else would do it. I would just go with the standard round.

Early entry and Applying through UAC.

If your course finishes in December then you should be able to get your transcript then. If you cannot prove your results you cannot use that part of the qualification. It would be best to contact UAC probably to discuss this - but if you cannot prove your qualification or results they cannot...

    Wait...What? No Journalism Major?

My mother did Communications and Journalism or something at UTS and she enjoyed it, and it seems like a pretty good degree. I have also heard CSU is good but then I guess you have to go where it is, Bathurst or something? That wouldn't be so great. Maybe for some people. Personally if I...

Early entry and Applying through UAC.

Well if you haven't got onto applying for early entry I would do that now. Entry closes earlier than normal applications. Interview advice...even though you sent them a portfolio, bring your own. It shows organisation and if you need to explain anything you can have it in front of you...

Early entry and Applying through UAC.

Early entry is a system that a few universities run that allow you to gain entrance before the HSC. To do this you generally apply through both the university and UAC, and then have to gather a sort of porfolio with a few essays, recent reports and reccommendations from teachers. Then you go for...

    True Copy of Report

Generally for things like that if you just copy your original and get a Justice of the Peace to certify its a true copy. Its a free service, and if stamped and everything it acts like the original. Generally they are called Certified True Copies, which sounds like what you would need.

    Early Entry

Not sure about all of them but I know Wollongong does, and I am pretty sure UNE does as well.

    Replacement UAI/Year 12 Certification

Actually I have contacted them since and it does have my UAI on it. Maybe you should try not to give misleading information. I feel I am suited to university and just because my year 12 certificate is in another country does not make me unorganised - its not the type of thing I am going to...

Path to working as a Dimplomat/in an embassy

Be aware you don't just leave university and become a diplomant. You will probably spend a while working at DFAT until you are even considered for such a position. Also, you don't often get to choose where to go, and in the beginning may be lumped with some less than desirable places (I have...

    BSc /BA

I don't know how long the combined degree is but you have to weigh up if its worth it. Remember each year you spend at university means you have to pay of more later. Also, if you want to do honours or other post grad you are going to be at university for a while. I'm all for double degrees...
