Doing Post Grad directly after Undergrad?

At the end of the day, it's up to you as to whether further study is worth it or not. If you're having doubts already, it would definitely be worth doing a bit more research before deciding. One trouble I find with people who do post grad straight away is that by the time they finish studying...

Apply for your 2013 Student Campus Card

It depends how they decide to run enrollments this year. In 2009 and (I think) 2011, they did photos for student cards on the day of enrollment and gave them to you straight away. In other years (2010 and 2012), they've taken the photo at enrollment, but then posted the card out at a later...

    Subject Selections 2013

I thought they discontinued advanced psych subjects a couple of years ago?

How many days do you go to uni?

Because the UNSW Arts faculty doesn't compare to USyd AT ALL. They don't have the same quality of teaching/variety of subjects on offer/or length of time the degree has been offered. When people choose their degree, they often go for the best one on offer, so it makes more sense to apply to a...

    Timetable planning

What are the names/subject codes for the courses you want to do? As Obvious said, we can look them up for you and give you an idea of what your timetable might look like.

    Accommodation

In terms of where to live, it really depends on your budget. Places are a lot cheaper the further out from the city you are, but then you'll be spending time and money on transport to uni. Apart from Glebe/Newtown, some other suburbs around USyd include Chippendale, Redfern (the side near Usyd...

    am i getting underpaid ?

This is super dodgy. There are lots of jobs out there that pay significantly more than that, so might be worth investigating. Also, cash in hand means you have no rights so try to avoid at all costs. My first job at 18 paid $22 before tax, and I didn't need any qualifications for it, so there...

How many times a week do I have to go university for b.economics USYD?

The standard for economics is 3 or 4 days. They don't tend to offer subjects or tutes on Fridays so you can pretty much guarantee you'll get a three day weekend, but to some degree it does depend on your units of study, as Arcorn said.

at USYD do you make ur timetable when you enrol?? first time?

There are opportunities in o-week and the first two weeks of uni to go to the student centre and have your timetable adjusted. You need a solid reason though, just saying something like 'I want to be in the same class as my friend' or 'I want to sleep in' doesn't cut it.

How many days do you go to uni?

4 days. But on two of those, I only have a single 8am lecture so will probs work on those days (I work at uni which is super easy to get to if I have early classes)

    USYD mandatory maths cp

If you didn't do maths for yr 11 or 12, you should do MATH1111 Introduction to Calculus and it counts for 6 credit points. Otherwise, just do all the fundamental ones outlined in that link.

    making friends

'Hey, mind if I sit here?' Sit next to them, follow up with 'I'm ____ btw, how are you finding the course so far?'

I want to start Tutoring but ...

I'm going to suggest that marks are actually quite important. In humanities subjects I definitely think high marks are indicative that you know the course and what is required to achieve in the course. If you're not capable of achieving a band 6 mark yourself, how do you expect to be able to...

    Summer Holidays Chatter Thread 2012-13

CHOOSE A DAY AND WE WILL MAKE THIS HAPPEN (as long as it's not 14-17th because I have to be responsible the morning after all of that). I also move awkwardly unless rippy leaves me alone for 30 seconds in which case I do other stuff awkwardly ~orc~
