Is it true that doing arts is useless- even at Usyd?

compulsory subjects, have to complete 5 psych subjects in third year instead of 4, and the requirement of a D average or you get kicked out.

Is it true that doing arts is useless- even at Usyd?

Wow ok you guys don't really know what you're on about. You can get a career with a psych degree. There are all sorts of options like Human Resources, PR, management, counselling, health psychology, etc and that's just with a three year, undergraduate BA qualification. These are degrees that...

    Shy Guy Situation

Just because stuff hasn't worked in the past doesn't mean it won't work in the future. The past is behind you, time to move on! Better still, you can tell him and if he says he's not interested then you don't have to worry about awkwardly running into him. And if he is interested, you can...

    Shy Guy Situation

fb means nothing though. It's absolutely possible for a guy to be that shy and in the 21st century we don't have quite as restrictive gender roles so you can make more of an effort with him (unless you're shy???)

gaming club = sutek there's also some that do board gamey things like rubix cube society ps anyone who scores free food (mostly in the form of sugar) and manages to deliver it to me during my stupidly long shifts in the access tent will be my favourite person ever

O-Week Meat 2013: Down the Manning Hole

Timetables come out 11th Feb or will be available during O-week. If you don't like your timetable, you can change it on the internet, or in person during O-week. You might be able to find a book list for each subject on your course outlines, but I'd suggest waiting til you start classes to find...

Appropriate Amount of hours of sleep for a 16/17yr old ???

a lot of people find it hard to just go to bed earlier as their body doesn't tend to get tired until their 'normal' time. Probably worth trying to get up earlier (maybe do some study before school instead of after) because that will make you tired earlier

Back-to-back tutorials - good or bad?

my only issues with having two tutes back to back is that if I have a question about anything and need to talk to the tutor, that will make me late for the following tue. which is bad (duh).

Easy first year science units at usyd?

for science subjects that have low contact hours and no pracs, you're looking at either psych or hpsc. There is, of course, PSYC1002 and if you enjoyed PSYC1001, you would probably enjoy that. HPSC2100 stands for History and Philosophy of Science, What is this thing called Science? It's a...

Going on holiday while uni is on?

also be aware that that's a helluva lot of work to catch up on and even if lectures are recorded, it's not really a great substitute for actually attending.

    usyd timetables

you can look at this link for when lectures and tutes are offered for your subjects https://web.timetable.usyd.edu.au/menu.jsp?siteMap=true 24 hours is a LOT of work though per week for a uni student. And adding in that you'll be spending an awful lot of time travelling, you might want to...

Appropriate Amount of hours of sleep for a 16/17yr old ???

Err you really shouldn't say something isn't 'too bad' based on someone elses' terrible habits. 8-10 hours per night is recommended for teenagers as you're still growing and developing, and 9 hours a night for adults. Sleeping in on the weekend ruins habits established during the week when...
