    End Half Yearly Celebration Tactics.

Haha yeah that's what I do. My desk just gets piled up with a massive load of paper and books, until soon the books get on the floors, then I move into the kitchen to use the kitchen table as a free desk, then that also gets messy. Then at the end of the exams I clean everything up, which is the...

    usyd's edassist

Too costly. Or it could be that I'm just stingy with money.

    about biology past paper

I think I get where you're going at. Some of the past papers don't have diagrams etc because of copyright reasons, I think. You can get free past papers from the resource section, that's where I get mine.

    Beetroot a natural indicator PRAC

Chop it up, mash it with the mortar and pestle, add methanol to break open the plant's cell membranes so that the red/purple dye (forgot what it's called) can escape the cell, collect the dye, then test it on a base, distilled water, and an acid. But as I didn't collect the results, does...

    The Alchemist

Yeah I was considering it, but instead have chosen "Cast away". :) The Alchemist is an awesome book for inner journey. I have some notes on The Alchemist that my sister used that you may want to use.

    Test your knowledge !!!

For question 8, a beta particle is the same as an electron...right? If so, then why is (a) the correct answer rather than (c)? Edit: Never mind, I just found out that a Beta-particle is a high-energy particle which has more energy than an ejected valance electron, thus more than 'just an...

    dot point dilemna

Feedstock is like any raw material that gets converted to another form or product. The dot point wants you to recognise and name what the industrial source of ethylene is, from the cracking of some refined petroleum fractions. The answer is (from what I've found): Steam thermal cracking...

    Beetroot a natural indicator PRAC

Mmmm, whilst on this topic, anyone have results for the addition of beetroot indicator with HCl acid, distilled water and NaOH base? (Or basically any acid or base?) I missed out on this prac, and I guess I should get this covered instead of skipping it... Thanks.

So...is everyone happy with their chemistry studies?

    what does this mean?

I don't think the -ite suffix indicates a lower valency, it just indicates that it has less oxygen atoms than -ates. The valency always remains the same for -ites and -ates of the same compound...

    Solubility

Yeah, it's assumed knowledge. They've got a good table on the backpage of the HSC Conquering Chemistry textbook.
