Thought it was quite hard as well. The plane question was challenging but managed to get it after a while. However, the last question is another story.
Any subject can get any ATAR.
Don't be jealous because you chose Extension 2 Maths because you thought it would get you a better ATAR than someone who chose General. Of course if you get a better mark in extension it does, but RobtheSprinter is right.
Re: SOR exams...
They can not specify any - then you would talk about 1, or 2, or 3
Could specify 3 areas
Could specify 2 areas
Could specify 1 area
Be flexible :)
You must have some sort of preparation from past assessments and half yearlies - if your marks were better than average I would definately attempt to remember some of the content from the paragraphs. And just practice writing topic sentences that relate to your information to as many practice...
i thought it was fairly easy and straight forward. Mind you my creative writing and related text fit perfectly into their respective questions. However, the comprehension questions didn't seem to be asking for much.
I do advanced english and my school usually ranks from 35-55ish
Assessment 1: 16/20
Assessment 2: 35/45 - rank 14/64
Cumulative rank after assessment 2: 11/64
Assessment 3: 18/20 - rank unknown, 4 people got 19, no 20's
Thanks :)
