So our exam is getting closer, what do you guys think the essay question for P+H will be? I'm thinking ethical issues because it hasn't been tested before, but you never know! What do you think? (I know this part of the forum is abandoned as hell, but eh)

When in doubt, maybe don't link it based on thematic concerns, but instead discuss the different rhetoric features (logos, pathos, and ethos) and the ways each orator incorporates them into their speech?

I felt confident about all the questions except the one for Stimulus 3 - what the shit was going on with that one?

I'm not sure how I did, because my character never really found himself belonging or being a part of the support group he was sitting in. I know belonging can swing both ways, but I'm not 100% if the question wanted that. Does that matter?

I did Drama, Visual Arts, and Society Culture - and I handled the majors just fine! You've just gotta pace yourself and prioritise correctly depending on which you feel is the most demanding. You feel very rewarded after you finish the majors, especially if you dedicate lots of time and effort...

It usually depends on the wording of the question. If words such as "discuss", "explore", or "to what extent" are used then you're in the clear for arguing it. If not, however, then just make sure that it's a damn good essay.

I highly doubt it, but if you don't wanna wing it (like me, whoops) then just have a small set of notes for another related text just in case.

Have a look at some past papers, most of them take into account belonging and not belonging - so you're in the clear! Also, try not to pre-prepare a complete piece of creative writing, as there's a high chance you may not be able to adapt it to the stimulus.

My teacher said you can do it (to a point) but there is a risk involved. Because there are so many different kinds of people who are marking these stories, you don't know if the person who's marking yours is highly against the use of swearing, or whether they're okay with it. Just proceed with...
