    Accounting Job Prospects?

nah don't bother, unless they're one of those 'we'll pay for your uni degree, you work for us for two years, and work for us when you're studying 4 hours a week'. if it's just those summer cadetships, (where you work in a firm for a few months)most of them only accept 2nd or 3rd year...

Does the university you go to really matter?

isn't Adelaide uni in the G8? or was it the university of south australia. let's face it, there is an over-supply of law students. employers would not want to hire someone who got their degree solely from distance education. as LA88 said, law is a unique program in that it's not about...

Does the university you go to really matter?

i'd love to say no, but really it does matter. as for law and distance education, i would advise against it. you need contact for law, as well as social interaction with your lecturers/tutors/fellow students.

Worth doing JD at Melbourne Uni?

the other user said 'among the highest' he/she did not say the 'highest rate'. if you don't know the difference between the two, i'd say law is not for you, with statutory interpretation and all. but you are right, dentistry is up there.

    Volunteering for students

i think it's more of a 'chairman/president of my own charity' ego/resume boost more then anything. really, there are already quite a number of well established charities. if you were really in it, you'd be in one of those, rallying to cover a niche if there is one.

    Accounting Job Prospects?

well the travel thing is good, so you'd want to work in a specialization that allows that. as for the success part, sure. but have you factored in the cost of living? particularly in regards to housing. how about other issues such as traffic, and pollution? I don't mean anything from the...
