i know how to calculate volumes when solids are revolved around the x and y axis..but how can u translate it when the axis of rotation is not one of them eg y=2, x= -2 blah blah...do u add or subtract?? also can they ask to find volume when the solid is revolved around an axis that is not...

if u cant think of way of doin it, just keep subin in t values! note- the graph is y=2cos(x-pie/4)

i just received a brochure about tsfx revision lectures starting in september...i am thinking of going for one lecture ie maths extension 2.....they are charging 125 bucks and the lecture goes for 7 hours..do u think this lecture could improve my learning and my understanding?...are they good...

yeh but he is talkin about band 6 in phys, chem which i think scale to 97, 98 so u get an easy atar of 95+ (given that u do well in other subjects) which i thought was difficult

He wont get an atar of 75! Thats his mark..itll be scaled up or down n then he will get a totally diff atar

make sure u make the most of 2u topics, division of interval etc... i think there will be many calculus questions each 4-5 marks so yeah!

external mark doesnt change...internal does...say u got 80 for internal and are ranked 1st....if u get 90 in the externals ur internal mark gets pushed up to 90 and and external mark remains 90 as it is...the average of the two become hsc mark which is (90+90)/2 which is 90 overall mark..hope u...
