Yes, this is right. The Total mark is the actual raw mark. The Total Weighted mark is the raw mark after optional question scaling has been used, like in modules in English and electives in the sciences.

If you are ranked first or last, your cohort has no effect on you. As said above, if you're in the middle, it is a different story.
