I am actually chinese, but I remember very little of the language. However, I am cantonese so I can read quite a few characters (for instance, when I am at Cabramatta and Chinatown, I can read more than half of the characters). However, I don't remember how to construct sentences, I can barely...

What is so good about Usyd?

I remember going to Toronto, Canada and I saw my cousin's university - it was the spitting image of the UTS. The dry, dull and tall building was a striking reminder of UTS. I guess UTS isn't alone. P.S: The uni is called Ryerson University.

What is so good about Usyd?

It's really word of mouth. When I grew up, families from the west, particularly the south west (the areas that are bombarded with asians) always talked highly of USYD and UNSW to a lesser extent. In my opinion, it's just that I think USYD has been around for years and a lot of people pick up on...

What is so good about Usyd?

I'm not entirely sure, I hear a lot about how many USYD students have to pay their way in (I'm assuming paying full fee) instead of those who actually get the proper ATAR. I'm not so sure, correct me, but this is the stuff I'm hearing.

What is so good about Usyd?

The thing I don't understand is the superiority complex regarding those students from USYD who pay their way in? Why would you look down on a student from the western suburbs when you paid your way in? And even if they didn't pay their way in, wouldn't a USYD law or med student from the west be...

    What do I do?

Well my brother completed his Med Sci degree and said it's one of the most worthless degree unless you wanna do research. So even in that token, I'd say do the Sci/Law degree @ MACQU - more job prospects and I would assume you could transfer the credits of your Med Sci degree to your Sci degree...

hey yeah I am. I'm taking 24U of Chinese as part of my International Studies course. It requires a compulsory language to be taken and another 54U of another language (I'm doing Korean). I haven't language in like 5 years, so I don't remember anything, so I don't know which level to take. How...

    Teacher's choice?

My ancient teacher - who's also the head of the faculty - did not do that. She knew that I would do well and possibly the best in the externals as reflected in my trial marks. However, I was still only ranked 2nd and she left all the ranks as they were - in the interest of fairness. However, she...

    Transfer to Harvard Med?

I don't want to be outright rude or anything but I'm just curious, what's up with the insanely difficult - almost insurmountable - goals?

    Semester 1 2012 Timetables!

Are there any shortcuts I can take? Anything that can help me get there quicker?

    Semester 1 2012 Timetables!

Will this be a disadvantage of any sort? I don't mind walking and it will be better once I adjust. Will I miss my next lecture if I don't leave earlier? (I'm only asking, cos I might not be their at O-Week, have to help my brother settle in, in Melbourne Uni)

    Semester 1 2012 Timetables!

I'm a bit concerned regarding the walk between Mathews Theatre to the Law Building and from Morven Brown to the Law Building. Is this do-able? Should I leave like 5 minutes before a lecture to ensure that I make it? Aside from that, I quite like the fact that I have a three day weekend :D
