    B5/B6 Cut off

Many ways to prove the angles were equal, Construction works, but I did two of them were equiangular as they were corresponding, therefore the third must also be equal. As the triangles were similar the sides would be in the same ratio. Ended up getting that second part as something like...

    B5/B6 Cut off

So lets say you end up with 82 as a bare minium, that might get scaled to 92, if you came first in your cohort, 91 becomes 92, HSC=92. But yeah thats if you get another 8 things wrong, and its not even an educated guess, You'll be right :D

    B5/B6 Cut off

According to this raw mark database I've read before its only 78 for B6 on average. But a new test structure might throw that downstream. By the sounds of it, many are saying it was a reasonable/hard exam

    B5/B6 Cut off

For MC, 10 was a little whack, I figured B as all the others have negative values in them meaning they deduct a fair bit, And B was bigger than the area for A. If you didnt know your log laws then 9 and 7 would have been tricky. 2,3 involved minuses and pluses, missing one part or minusing...

    Q16

16 B and C.... ahh well, everything else was easyy :D

    General Thoughts: Mathematics

    Easy except for Question 16 B and C :)

    B5/B6 Cut off

Was a pretty easy exam, except I could only do part A of Question 16. I was the same with MC, I saw the tricks but I could see how others may be fooled, so your cutoffs look reasonable, maybe band 5 a little higher

    Loan Repayment/Annuties

    i) Yes ii) I put it as (5000-3m)*1.01^(n-3) - M (1.01^(n-3) -1 (ALL OVER) .01) (Yours is correct too, except the principal, gotta have that 5000-3m. Also I would put your last set of brackets into the GP formula as it could be the final step that gives you the mark or not :D) iii)...

    Loan Repayment/Annuties

Superannuation is an annuity as it is an ongoing investment. Typically the question wants to know how much money they will have after a period of time after a series of investments. One off investments only require the compound interest formula. Loan Repayments are any instance where money is...

    Loan Repayment/Annuties

Despite it taking Keelan 50 years to pay off his $100 loan, he goes to Harvey Norman to buy a high end TV despite the warning of the issues with Interest free periods from his favourite television show, Today Tonight, of which he somehow watches without a tv. He chooses the $5000 TV, and will...

Everytime... haha, to correct this I have posted a Huge +C above my door as I leave my room. My biggest mistake is rushing and then scribbling my working out so when it gets to calculator time I put in say a 3 instead of a 2

    Loan Repayment/Annuties

Typically they have a few parts to them, with the first question being prove the formula to calculate his amount owing etc. Then if you cant get to the formula they want, just use the formula provided for the other questions. But yeah I looked at the marking criteria for the interest rate...

    Loan Repayment/Annuties

Beginning and at the end of the year questions are a pain, but just work out the first year to get a feel for it, A fisherman has 100000 fish in January 2000 and over the course of the year the population increases by 10%. In December 2000 he sells 15400 fish to a retailer at $10/unit. i) How...
