nah as in there are people who get high 99s to do courses that only need a 90-95 atar
its admirable to work hard to get a high atar but if op didnt need a high atar for his course then he shouldn't worry too much and just try his best
there are people who get an atar of 70s-80s with asian 5 but usually its bc they're incompetent and they don't wanna put in hard work
scaling helps but it isnt a magic key to getting a high atar
yeah everyone who gets a borderline band 6 at my school usually just memorise a couple exemplars + adapt but the higher ones either do the "understanding texts" thing or they just memorise like a solid 15-20 paragraphs per text

if u really want to avoid plagiarism then just mix and match different pieces from different essays and memorise

im not gonna debate whether psych is a science or not but at high school i would assume you wouldn't be able to test hypotheses, collect data and conduct experiments on human behaviour
rather u would learn content from a textbook and write essays like u would in a traditional humanities subject
yeah schools can mandate but afaik a good chunk of people won't go
