    Anyone accessed new email?

I've tried to use the new UNSW email - Office365 i.e username: zID@zmail.unsw.edu.au, password: previous password. I still haven't had any luck logging in - I think it's to do with my password - I'm still using my old one?

How do i know if law is for me?

Hey - I'm a first year law student and I don't think there's any way you can really be sure. I know this isn't the answer you want but you can only try and then see if you like it. I was in a similar position you - I had no idea if I'd like law and was really anxious that I was making the wrong...

    "F*CK this shit" Anyone else?

Yeah lol sorry guys the HSC is nothing compared to uni have fun staying up till 2 am consistently. You think you'll have a life in uni but you won't. Sorry to break the news! But on a more optimistic point of view, if you're doing what you love, then it's good :)

Can I still get a high band 6?

I got 77% in my first 2U assessment. For the HSC I got 97 - so there's heaps room for improvement! Don't let assessments bring you down! Just do heaps of practice - keep your head up you can do anything! (however corny that sounds - it's true)

    Science/law to social research + policy/law?

I'm a first year science (advanced)/law student at UNSW and I'm thinking of transferring to social research + policy/law. How do I do this and what WAM do I need? Thanks

How far over word limit am I allowed to go?

Do you think it's too risky to go over by 48 words?

How far over word limit am I allowed to go?

For an assignment it says this: "Penalties for exceeding the word limit will be applied as follows: 50 - 75 words excess – 5% of the grade awarded; 76 - 100 words excess - 10% of the grade awarded; >100 words excess - 20% of the grade awarded." Does this mean I can go over by say 25 words...

    Choosing Physics or Biology?

I was in the exact same position as you and decided to drop physics. I like physics, but it was my weakest science out of the 3 of them, so I dropped it. Best decision ever, because I wouldn't have got as high an ATAR. Also, I loved the HSC biology syllabus; IT IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN PRELIMINARY...

Having panic attacks due to chemistry Prac

Ok first of all 20% is not the end of your HSC. Secondly, there is a written part to the practical, so if you study all things to do with titrations, and do practice problems, you'll be able to ace that. Also, you'll only earn several marks for actually doing the titration; the rest is about the...

What course should i do at uni

Yeah you've still got ages to decide. Personally, at the beginning of year 12 I had no idea what I wanted to do - I just thought something to do with the environment. So for most of the year I was just looking at doing some sort of science degree. But halfway through the year, I went to a...

    Road to 97 ATAR

Honestly just try your best! It's good that you're planning heaps - that's a really good sign. But do not set yourself unrealistic expectations (I'm not saying the ones you listed are but just be careful) - you'll only disappoint yourself! Also remember quality over quantity! There's no point...

    Is my physics exam unfair?

Yes it's fine. My chem teacher put a slightly reworded past hsc question in our practical exam. The end.

Thanks for the tips :) I went today and it was a bit scary but overall good

    Court Observation Assignment

I'm a first year doing the assignment and I've never been to a court before. I have a few questions: 1. Can I only enter the room when the session starts? 2. Am I allowed to go to a Supreme court? 3. What etiquette is required? 4. Do you think I should go with someone else if I don't know...

Not sure if I want to do law anymore

Thanks for the advice - yeah I think I'm going to try it and try to find someone at the uni to talk to

Not sure if I want to do law anymore

Yep I've already checked out macquarie. They do a bachelor of environment/laws. The bachelor of environment is basically a bachelor of science but more specific; its the same as a science degree at UNSW i.e you can major in climate science, but also has mandatory environment units. I compared...

Not sure if I want to do law anymore

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. So on a practical level, do you think the LLB is unnecessary for me? I'm finding it really hard to determine what degrees are needed for the field I want to get into.
