Hello there, I was wondering what happens at the faculty welcomes during O week, and how beneficial it would be to go. There are 2 workshops which I want to go to during that time and I was thinking of just skipping the welcome. Would I miss anything important?

I found it helped greatly with MX1 since exposure to MX2 questions will make MX1 questions easier. It didn't help with physics at all for me, the mathematical and mechanical concepts for physics were far simpler than MX2. Doing MX2 won't help you with physics.

dude, there are so many combinations of ranks, for example, going well in Eng, while going bad in maths may give you the same overall marks as getting average in both. Too many variables, but probably top 10 in most

I'm also applying, but i think it's a character limit, not the word limit. i.e. every letter and space counts as one character, so that's only about 150 words roughly.

I agree with you, having a 30% weighted exam with a mark out of 14 is completely unfair. It is not properly testing your true skills, as many intelligent people will lose single marks on silly mistakes or such. An exam of that magnitude should have a higher mark.

I honestly feel that they left out too much mechanics, I means seriously, NO circular motion AT ALL? it is such a big topic, and i feel would be a good indication of the better students. plus it was such a big part of previous HSC papers, i don't think it was fair to have one resisted motion...

why would you use a parabola when it's a circle? anyway, i used a circle to find height and triangles to work out width
