    Learning ahead for Preliminary HSC

My advice would be to: Learn ahead if you really want to. It does help, and it will make things a bit easier in year 11. But don't spend all your time studying. Limit it to just a few hours a week. These are your last holidays before you start senior school, so make the most of them. If you...

    Learning ahead for Preliminary HSC

Copy of the syllabus, textbooks, getting notes from here. I just went over the basic concepts though, I didn't go into too much detail when I was learning ahead. Year 11 doesn't count for anything, so you can afford to relax. Year 12 is when everything starts to count, though.

    Learning ahead for Preliminary HSC

I did a bit of learning ahead for prelim, and it did help. Just don't spend your holidays studying, though. Year 10 concepts probably won't help much in prelim, though

Is there scaling in School Cert. ?

I guess that means I didn't really get those 80's I scored in the SC then? Eh, no point in worrying about it now.

    Results back but no Papers?

Yes, you can. Someone here did it last year, and got their HSC papers back, and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to do it with SC papers, too. You can get them by filling out an FOI (Freedom of Information) form, and paying the fee that the BOS charges to have your papers sent back. Though I...

    Good Luck Everyone

Eh, well if you study, then you can get high marks and say, "The SC? Oh yeah, I totally got awesome marks in that!". Purely for egoistical purposes, I guess. But I didn't study, and still got straight band 5's. =]

    Is the Bonfire going ahead?

They say the date is not set, and they have to find another event organiser now. They're working on it. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?ref=home#/event.php?eid=28590834177

    Good Luck Everyone

Just remember, unless you're leaving school this year, you shouldn't worry yourself about the School Certificate. However, it will give you a good experience of working under exam conditions. While the SC itself isn't all that important, the experience you take from it will prove useful in year...
