The work load in extension is double that of advanced.

Only three half yearlies all on a different day. Advanced is a 2 hour exam where the creative and essay together is worth only 5%. Oh why.

If you hate your current subject that you want to change from then by all means go for it, you will benefit from changing in the long run. But you must be certain that you will enjoy and do well in the subject you want to change to.
