    Favourite chopin mazurka?

Listening to them all at once, and it still sounds good. Chopin must be turning in his grave though

    Favourite chopin mazurka?

Hauntingly beautiful melody at the start Unpredictable as hell (a little repetitive though). 1:25 - The left hand rounds off the stormy section wonderfully back to the main melody (in just 6 notes!!!). 4:09 - love that cheeky ending! So which of the mazurkas are your favourites, and why

    Favourite chopin mazurka?

Ugh, I've got more important things to do than to bombard the forum with pieces, but I'm too bored and in love with them. I have a few favourites, and there are a million and one things I love about each and every one of them: The main melody is mega-addictive, and I love how the left...

average student, want first in course award? want media attention? here's how!

Hospital placement? This makes the Category A courses seem quite dry now. At least some excursions would be good. Entertaining read btw :)

What exactly is 'rote learning' in maths?

Thanks for the responses :) You've all dissected the concept of rote learning in maths really well for me to understand this. I'd love to hear more

What exactly is 'rote learning' in maths?

Who thinks or knows someone who's got 99.95 in the bag??

There's this homo guy in our school (srs) that came first in 4 subjects in Y11 (3rd in his other two subjects) (school rank 20-40) who consistently gets good marks. He's definitely going to get the .95. Amazing, considering he gets so much ass :O

    Opinions + advice?

My (awesome) teacher picked out the op7 no2 (A minor) and op63 no2 Mazurkas (F minor) , and the op28 no15 'Raindrop' prelude from the manual lists. I am to choose two of these Chopin pieces, but can't decide. I was leaning toward the F minor mazurka, but I'm suddenly liking the A minor one...

How exactly did the GFC start?

I've always been curious about this. The subprime loan crisis in the US was definitely a part of it, but did the crisis 'cause' the GFC since the US is such a significant world player? The second half of the 'Financial Markets' and all of the 'Government intervention in the market economy'...

What are the real life applications of parameters?

I think the idea of parametric representation is pretty interesting, and I've always been curious about this. Care to enlighten me? :)
