How did you go in your semester 2 report?

Same with my school, it changes with different faculties. And i swear some of the teachers are shifty! But in all, i did quite well.

Re: 2008SC SC Results ~ 99+? i guess the whole trying my best may not be effective... But i guess you could still try and tell them the truth and that you really put in 100% and that even you don't understand why you got the marks you got.

Re: 2008SC SC Results ~ Well i guess thats the answer! Thanks for the reassurance (: I'm in the same situation of going to a 'crap' school (we're just not very academic..) And digimonstudent, so you haven't told your parents your marks yet? Hmm are they the parents that just want you to...

Re: 2008SC SC Results ~ Even if you don't think you did well, i think you did! Many people would be glad to swap for your marks, but i understand where you're coming from. I'm not sure about the whole thing if you're a smart kid in a 'dumb' school. Does it really drag you down? I thought if...

    Self-learning or tutoring?

Thanks for the comments :) I'm glad that there quite a few people out there who don't go tutor. I feel less pressured into getting a tutor now. If my grades drop (quite dramatically) then i will hunt down for a good tutor ahaha.

What album(s) did you listen to today?

I listened to Placebo- Meds too! =]

    Self-learning or tutoring?

Okay, i probably sound very repetitive, but lately i have been feeling obliged to get a tutor for good. Not because i'm doing terribly in school, but i want to accelerate in my studies. Everyone has a tutor these days, and i honestly mean everyone with the one or two exceptions. I'm rather...

    Self-learning or tutoring?

OOh that sounds like a good idea! Hmm, maybe it does help, because i find it that when a classmate asks me a question i learn more because there is more discussion on why one's answer is wrong or right.

    Self-learning or tutoring?

That sounds expensive O_O Yeah, a really good tutor comes by then i might consider (: And about how the majority of people who got 100UAI don't tutor, i must agree. Maybe it is just by chance that the people who i know got high UAI don't tutor. But that's the thing i am questioning.. is it...

    Year 10 Yearly Science Test

I don't think there's a across the state examination coming up. Unless i have been misinformed? There is the school certificate coming for year10, but it's no where in this month.

    Self-learning or tutoring?

yup (: looks like i may have to bug my teachers a lot :D

    Self-learning or tutoring?

Yeah, i find that when i try to work out a question by myself and get it right, i tend to remember it the next time i do a question like it. I think i might not get a tutor for the meanwhile. It's too expensive for me to afford at the moment =/ The ones i have heard are $20-30 for around 1.5...

    Self-learning or tutoring?

Whoa, that sounds like hardcore work! Was that just in year 12 or most of his school life?! O_O Yeah, self-learn definitely makes you feel better because you know it is your own work that you have learnt yourself. Besides saving money and feeling good about yourself LOL what other advantages...

    Self-learning or tutoring?

Yeah that is true, but that is the thing, some people feel that if they are able to force themselves to learn themselves (and try to be ahead of others) it is better, because it requires more thinking and hardwork and therefore make it easier for them to get through Higher education (uni) where...

    Self-learning or tutoring?

A lot?! Wow i have always thought a majority of people go tutor, leaving very few succeeding purely with self-study. Maybe it's because everyone i know besides a couple of people and myself or tutored. Self-study does seem like a heavy heavy load of work and thinking though =='

    Self-learning or tutoring?

May i also ask if anyone has done very well for their HSC without a tutor at all? How much work did you have to put in? (Just edited that into first post.)
