Sorry to bump, but in regards to Diploma and Certificates. What's the difference? I read the site and is it only that you have to study less credit points for a Certificate than a Diploma? I'm in Year 12 atm, and thinking of doing a diploma next year at Macq or USYD cause I can't fit it...

Not true. Most languages are actually quite poor scalers compared to many of the more popular subjects such as chem, phys even economics. Above 98, 99 then it's a different story as most the scaling gap between subject closes. But to answer the OP definitely encourage your sister to continue...

True, it's just doing Extension via corerspondance is much more difficult, I find, than doing Continuers. There seems to be too much content to cover without the presence of an actual teacher. I get very little "contact hours" with my teacher and it makes it doubly difficult.

I think I'm going to drop. The amoun of work/effort needed is waaaaay too disproportionate for one unit. I know it's extension and it is fun but at this point in time, 2 writing tasks a week for Extension alone vs one writing task every two weeks for Cont. seems crazy.
