    Organ Donation

I just can't comphrehend how marketing organs could possibly work. What happens when somone down on their luck has to resort to selling body parts to make money? That and the organs would most likely be unaffordable. Asking somone to out bid another person for an organ on top of hospital costs...

    Study tips for uni?

    1. Work out who the smartest person in your course is.2. Befriend said person. Study and groupwork should now be a breeze.

Crazy biology teacher: Should I drop? HELP!!?

When I was in year 12 I had a Chem teacher who was absolutely useless. She basically hated our class and really was just not good at teaching. She more or less told us that she 'gave up on us'. I stuck the class out and ended up doing better than she expected although really not as well as I...

    Ext History Project 2012

For the love of God do something with lots and lots of historiography around it! I dropped Ext History when I realised I was doing a topic with very little information on it. When you're doing a proposal try to have a very clear question in mind, I had trouble coming with this.

What uni course are you considering? Do you need Bio for uni?

    hungry jacks interview

Make sure you look presentable. Clean, tidy, nice shirt/pants and respectable shoes. Better to look over than under dressed. Make sure you seem positive and enthusiastic. Have a good reason ready for when he asks you why you want to work there. Think of questions he might ask you related to...

    lack of energy

Sounds like a pattern I was doing for a while. Working night shifts then doing early morning classes. Took a long time to get over. Try to have a set sleeping pattern if possible. After a long time of sleep deprivation I got into a pattern of oversleeping and instead of feeling rested it just...

    lack of energy

What about sleep? Getting at least 8 hours of continuous sleep every night?

    BOS f@#king with our minds?

Funny I remember two years ago my year all thought the same thing. Back in my day there was a huge controversy over the belonging paper only asking for one ORT when everyone expected two. And the one unit SOR exam was completely screwed! My point is everyone thinks their year has it the worst...

Please help me pick out a uni course :)

Why not an allied health subject. That way it will be relevant to medicine (and keep in mind there always is post grad medicine as well). Choose something interesting that you will enjoy so it is easy to stay motivated to get the good marks you will need to get into med. Physio, occupatoinal...

why does so many people choose physiotherapy?

2012! But don't let atars or job prospects make up your mind. Degrees go in and out of fashion. If it's something you're truly interested in go for it!

why does so many people choose physiotherapy?

Physio is a great degree. It's really good if you have an interest in human anatomy and physiology. There are lots of specialisations including Musculoskeletal, Neurological, Cardio-Pulmonary, Paediatrics, Sports and Occupational Therapy. We do lots of prac work in real hospitals/clinics so you...

Repeat the HSC: Yay or 'Nay'

You don't know if you don't try! Give it your best shot and you might suprise yourself. I know I did! What course are you trying to get into by the way?
  15. E

Repeat the HSC: Yay or 'Nay'

Yep, easily. I know lot's of people who have done this with no problem. Just choose easy/interesting subjects and aim to do well. It's easier to do well in uni than it is in Highschool. A lot of people try because most of the time all you need to do is pass and they don't feel it's as important...

Repeat the HSC: Yay or 'Nay'

No don't do it!! Everyone I know who has done pathways or someway extended their time doing HSC regretted it! You are better off doing Newstep or a similar bridging course for at uni (where you do uni classes and get a new atar estimate). You will be bored doing HSC again and unmotivated and...

What do you plan to wear to UNI?

Seriously no one cares or looks at what you wear to uni. Dress comfortably. This being said if you plan on going to Newcastle I would advise against wearing tights. So many people had shit fits last year about girls who wore tights with t-shirts.

Uni, 4hrs straight of lessons too much?

4 hours is do-able. I remember my first semester of uni I had a lecture that went for 3 hours straight for intro to health science and it was death. Most lectures give 10 minute breaks every hour though. My advice is to bring food and just get through it as best you can. Take writing tools and...
