relax, i am not trying to avoid it, plus it is not compulsory just recommended, if its going to be a waste of time i would rather do a comp elective that is all, but if people say it helps further down the track ill do it. u have given me ur opinion so y do u keep posting for.

someone told me that u will only find it useful if ur planning on doing pure maths because that is when u will be doing lots of proofs.

i hear mixed reviews about this course some say its crappy proofs others say it expands ur thinking, is it worth taking this course and is it directly useful for 2nd & 3rd yr math courses (applied/stat) or is it just for maths maturity

pre 2012 u only needed 7 courses to get a major now u need 8 courses thats y u cant do 3 majors in 4 years

i had these two lecturers last year for math1151, and many people had many different opinions about them. tran has an accent and u kind of get used to it as the sem goes on though some people didnt, the guy is good and knows his stuff but sometimes has trouble controlling the class from talking...

ok firstly it will not go on ur permanent record, secondly if u do not pay it then they will make u pay an extra $100 on top. there is no point in trying to appeal it because either they will think ur lying and that u did know and didnt have ur concession (i am not doubting u but the judge will)...

also hours and pay in finance are based on the role u work in and the company u work for. m&a is crazy long hours and on call 7 days a week other areas arnt as bad, commercial banks expect less hours and pay less then ib and european banks expect less hours and pay less then U.S banks.
