This. I'm first in all my HSC subjects and Dux of the school. It kinda sucks though, because I don't care about Dux, I just want my ATAR aim. With all the expectation from peers and teachers of doing really well, I lost a lot of motivation to study like I used to and probably won't get the ATAR...

I disagree. Bio isn't a rote learn subject and it's quite conceptual too (not as much as physics obviously). Heck, there was a q in 2010 asking about how knowledge of the eye and ear has facilitated the development of 3D film technology.

Yep ); I failed that q in the trials. It's like "using the examples above justify why boys should be vaccinated." Nek minut in the criteria it wanted you to talk about the stupid polio shit.

If YOU do really well in the externals it should not pull you down. If you get first, your external will become his internal, and everyone gets below that, so it wouldn't make much of a difference I suppose. Really, it depends on how well you do whether or not his mark will bring you down.

I feel the same way. I topped Legal Studies, but had a really bad exam day. With Modern, the USA questions were quite unpredictable. Kinda sucks. I need a 97 Atar, that now will not happen.

I think it's D, more Muslims live outside of the middle east; most hindus live in India. I changed my answer to D, so im paranoid they will still mark me wrong.
