If you're committed enough and ignore all the other people, you should be fine if you want to keep PDHPE. TBH they'll only affect your mentality if you let it to.

Always aim to help your cohort, even if it is before trials because if everyone's marks are really close together, and everyone does really well, everyone gets a high mark.
It won't affect your HSC mark, it'll just be frowned upon that you've used a prescribed text, even if you haven't studied it. If you are going to use it, your analysis and insight into it has be super profound so its better to use less common texts because markers are less familiar with it and...
Write adaptable essays, know your points really well and go into the exam and churn it all out. Usually I memorise paragraphs and write introductions and conclusions on the day.
With creatives, I wrote a really flexible one, memorised it and prayed the stimulus fit (and it did ~woo~)
schools teach topics in different orders so you're going to be doing logs in year 12 if you haven't done so in year 11. but its just revision of all the laws + graphing + "harder" equation solving
we've done everything BUT mechanics (thank goodness, the only joy i got from doing past papers was skipping mechanics questions haha)
but you have a physics background so mechanics would be conceptually less confuddling to understand than non physics plebians like myself haha it took me a while...

Not really
Some people say if you get 80% in 3U you're capable, but it really depends on test difficulty, etc. I think you'll only know if you can do 4U once you start doing it. sorry, its one of those subjects haha!
Personally, I didn't find the leap from 2 to 3 unit that bad. I didn't really feel a difference between the two, just saw all of it as maths haha
and as long as you understand the topics taught, difficulty shouldn't be a big issue.
Check CSSA past papers and the marking guidelines? They usually have a band indicator of what each question is. i.e. in this question if the student got the marks, they're looking at an E4 or something.
