Is it really worth doing HSC past papers that date back to 2000, 1999, 1998 and so on? This is more specifically for Maths as the syllabus and exam structure has obviously changed since then. The 2001 HSC MX2 exam is fine in my opinion as it looks similar to questions given today.

I've seen this in the Terry Lee textbook I think.. For most of them, you pick a rotating point and multiply by either cis90 or cis-90 If that doesn't work, multiply by cis(alpha) with alpha being the angle you want to rotate by. Hint: Rotating doesn't always require you to start from the origin
