If you look through the handbook, next to the subjects there shuld be a description/recomended text books. Atleast thats how it was for pharmacy. Also if you log into myuni, clik on one of ur subjects and you shuld get details on your lecturer aswell as a booklist. But i wuldnt buy anything...

+1. Plus atar is only a system used to administer supply and demand. Entering a course with a higher ATAR doesn't necessarily mean you have a better qualification. You're better off doing something you enjoy and you're good at.
