There is usually a recurring theme across all sections of paper 1, so I don't see why the unseen texts wouldn't be highly appropriate for the essay.

This. But you don't have to know every single minute and pedantic detail there is; just know key dates and some illuminating facts and stats for each dot point. This was all fitted within 4 pages and it served me well for trials

It's even worse because if you plagiarise an essay/creative, you can't adapt it because it's not your work. The worst is getting called up on it, and not understanding what you have written because it is purely rote.

im not gonna do this for discovery anymore - it failed in trials i'll defs prepare essays for paper 2, but i'm gonna just have dot points of evidence in loose categorisation of ideas for flexibility for the discovery essay
