Is this maths extension 2 or 1? Because I was under the impression that pretty much no one got 100% raw for extension 2.

I sat the independent trial, and want to try out some other papers from this year, mainly from Sydney Grammar, James Ruse, Sydney Boys/Girls etc ( I have done a lot of the past years on thsc already). Thank you in advance for any response.

Most of us have finished trials now, so I thought I would make a thread for sharing our school trial papers. I can post mine, but a lot of them are independent/exam choice, which I'm not sure is alright to post on this site. Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.

Lol I'll try a few of the past ones and if I do decently in them I might come and give it a try. Would be a bit embarrassing if I got like 10% or something in it though.

I tried the 2018 one but not under timed conditions. I honestly don't think I could get above like 50 - 60% in them timed, the questions were insane from pretty early on

Yeah lol It's a bit worrying thinking that the hsc exam literally completely determines my overall mark for ext 2. It's a bit like that in a lot of my other classes as well, as we have like 5-6 people in physics and chem. It is good though if I want to get that state rank in ext 2 though.

Yeah that question took up a lot of my time as well. I ended up getting it out, but I think i did it incorrectly. I can't really recall my solution now, but I think I did something like assume the two fractional parts needed to be a distances of less than 1/N apart due to them being distinct or...

Yeah lol, that question was awful. Was it the very last part everyone struggled with? Parts one and 2 were alright in comparison and the 2nd part of 3 was a bit tricky, but I didn't even know where to start with 4, and only had like 3 minutes left on the clock anyway.

I went through the 1989, ended up with around 115/120 (Wasn't sure how many marks to deduct). The very last part of the last question and the proof of the circular motion formula I wasn't able to fully get out. Also made a dumb mistake on one of the integrals. The paper was really weird though...

I'm not actually sure if I've done the 2010 paper, but a lot of the questions in it look quite familiar, I think I went over some of them like at the start of this year or something. I can give it a go now if you want but my raw mark may not be very indicative if I've seen the questions before.

Thank you very much, that's really encouraging to hear:) 2018 was pretty much the first trial paper I had ever attempted, and that triangle question at the end was awful. I wasn't able to do part 2 of it, and it took up a lot of time meaning I wasn't able to check my previous questions...
