Thought extension 2 math should overlap extension 1 math just in more depth. Are there many ppl just do ext2 instead of both ext1&2？

Lots of them got music scholarship when they entered top elite schools in yr7. Taking music as the HSC subject is the requirement to keep their scholarship. But yr12 only need 10u, Chinese 5 plus music will take to 13u as below. 3u Music 2u English 4u Math 2u Physics 2u Chemistry How does that work?
