How would they count my 4U maths for my ATAR if I'm doing 12 units?

Is there like a person/organisation I can call to verify this? =S

How would they count my 4U maths for my ATAR if I'm doing 12 units?

Lots of people in my 3U class told me that if I fail 4U miserably, they will count my 2U as 100% - is this true? Because another source told me that they count Extension 2 maths as 2 units, and Extension 1 as 2 units. Please help ):

How do YOU prepare for exams?

For the humanities subjects, I write down each syllabus dot point question on a palm card, and then write the answers on the back for every single syllabus dotpoint. I memorise them before the exam, by going through the palm cards of each subject at least 4-5 times a day. As for maths, I write...

Hey, I was wondering if you still offered 4U tutoring? What are your rates, and which area can you tutor? I live at Epping. Thanks(:

    Is 11 units too risky?

Do you think having no science subjects is a disadvantage in uni? lmao my science teachers are advising against it, because it closes a lot of doors, and saying bridging courses are very long and hard. D: And I don't know what course I want to do in uni. =S

    Is 11 units too risky?

Hahah, well I don't know what my rank is for 4U, but my rank for 3U is 10th/75ish people. but 3U & 4U are very very different regarding material & pace. xD

    Is 11 units too risky?

Haha yes, but Extension 2 maths takes a lot of time, and I'm just not sure whether the time spent catching up 4U & keeping up 4U is much greater than catching up and keeping up for Chem. xD aaaarrggh can't wait till hsc is over.

    Is 11 units too risky?

Yeah , but the only reason I'm struggling is because I fell behind and got lazy as well - do you think it'd be wise to hardcore catchup with a tutor? How does Mx2 help you in the long run?xD

    Is 11 units too risky?

haha is chem easier, or mx2?

    Is 11 units too risky?

Haha but would catching up chem take a lot less time than it would for me to maintain a constant speed for mx2? Because my rank is alright 6/56 . But I don't go to a selective school, and what really drags my marks down is the practicals. I only manage to just pass (60%).

    Is 11 units too risky?

Currently I'm doing 14 units which include: Modern History Chemistry, Economics, Legal Studies, and 4U maths, and Advanced English. I'm doing really bad at Chemistry, and will probably drop it, however, I'm also struggling with 4U because it moves too fast. However, if I drop both, I'll only...

Did tutoring help you with school work?

So true - my parents used to pay $$$ for me to tutor for OC and selective , and I never bothered trying. So regret wasting the opportunity.

Anyone know of any good 4U tutors?

It's week 3, and I still haven't found a good 4U tutor - I've trialed 2, but they weren't very good at communicating the concepts because of the language barrier. Anyone know of any good, relatively cheap (<$40) 4U tutors in the Epping area? Thanks(:

Is it too late to start 4U tutoring for 2012 HSC?

I never thought of doing 4U maths, but seeing as I was ranked 10th in my school for prelims 3U, I decided to pick up 4U because I need the unit, and I also quite like maths. However my first 4U was hell - i usually enjoy maths lessons, but the teacher was going so fast and I didn't understand a...
