TopNotes are great to just start to get your head around a topic. They are often made in quite a rush (grammatical errors etc) but they are made with the HSC topic specifically in mind and explain concepts easily, hence why they are rated quite highly. I used TopNotes for my extension course...

I don't see the problem with it. But, unless (as the person above me stated) it was for reconstruction purposes, I probably wouldn't bother. Some minor things look nice, but other things can just look way TOO fake. Natural beauty is the best (even if it is made artificially ;) )

This should go in the design board. I didn't do it, but here is what I found out from friends who did: Be ruthless. If something doesn't work, don't use it. You can keep the idea if it is good, but don't hold onto something just because you like it. Be bold, keep it simple and MAKE PLANS...

In the marking notes, the markers always suggest that art is a good thing to do, if done well. As many people don't even consider it, it can give your essay an edge. Don't forget sculpture and such as well!
