Well, I think parents send their kids to private schools because of the facilities they offer: the sport, and especially the more expensive schools the technology. I think the standards ie behaviour, uniform, grroming at private school are a lot higher then public schools (no offence)...

namu, could find out what is the assumed/preresequite knowledge is required for law (generally for the Uni's) ? Is it just 2 units of english? Also, is there like any additional tests that you may need to take i.e. like the UMAT test for medicine??

Science is a 2 year topic.. Unless you covered the course contents in one year

ACER have a range of different tests-They use different ones for scholarship and for selective school application, I'm pretty sure.

Our school said they'd let us know if we couldn't do a certain subject in advance, but yeah, it would suck. I'm going to have a couple of options as backup just in case though.

What are the categories being assessed in this exam?? Is it humanities, maths/science and 2 pieces of writing? I always find ACER tests hard, especially the English test-Not only is it long, but the texts are like year 11 or 12 standard.

I think you're getting confused with SOR and Catholic Studies...

So who goes to a Catholic School and it is compulsory to do SOR? What is your approach to this subject? Do you work hard in it or just not care about it?

For No 3. just don't have MSN open, or if necessary, appear offline and only ask your friends for help or when somethign is important. You can't exactly blcok MySpace, but self-discpline is a key.

What's the current textbook you are using now? I find New Century Maths and Signpost Maths are good textbooks.

Extra-Co curricular activities includes debating.. It basically is like any activity which you represent the school in, whether it be in sport (team sport or individual), music (band, orchestra, play an instrument), Duke of Ed., social justice etc. , there's quite a long list.
