    (2+root3)^3 - 15 (2+root3) + 4 btw, it's a sharp calculator.

i said there was no maximum or minimum point, hence only one inflexion point at x=0 therefore it only hits it the x-intercept once.

i didnt think about substitution because it will be too much working. so i tried perfect square and all those methods that i know, and putted into my stupid calculator, they all gave me this stupid small number, and these stupid small numbers make me stupidly stress. but i'm okay now(:

    Cssa mx1

yeah i think you confirmed it. stupid calculator.

just substitute back to the original equation : i tried wolfram and i got this -7.105427357601×10^-15 but alternative form is 0. maybe it is a root.

    Cssa mx1

    got this incredible small number. -6 x 10^(-12) and -1.2 x 10^(-12)
  8. muzeikchun852

    Cssa mx1

it's correct even though when you test back to the original equation it doesnt give you zero ?
  9. muzeikchun852

    Cssa mx1

    yeah i did.
  10. muzeikchun852

    Cssa mx1

    i got -6 x 10^(-12) and -1.2 x 10^(-12)

i mean because they are roots of the questions. if you substitute back to the original P(x), it should be P(x)=0 right? but apparently it's not.

$ because our school hasn't done some of the topics that were examined in the CSSA, so they decided to replace those questions, but i think there was an error in one of the questions. please check(:$\\\\P(x)=x^3-15x+4$ has three roots, and two of roots are reciprocal of each other.\\\\so i found...

    Compeition in Schools

oh yeah i can image that happening in my school as well.

    Compeition in Schools

What's your school's competitiveness like ? nasty or healthy ? mine is okay. but when it comes to exams/trials, they lock themselves up and study.
  15. muzeikchun852

    Cssa mx1

they gonna replace it with their own questions(:
  16. muzeikchun852

    Cssa mx1

i feel okay, because my school hasnt do the harder topic like : simple harmonic, projectile, binomial .. so i'm not too worry.

    atar estimate...

yes and no. she will pull the cohort up but it will all depends on the person who will be getting the lowest mark in external. because you are in the lower half of the cohort in 3u maths, her mark will have less effect on you than someone who's coming 2nd. so this all comes down to your cohort's...

    atar estimate...

how does a girl who's top 4 internationally in physics would help your result anyway ? you didnt mention you do physics so I presume she would have no connection with your subjects. 95+. to pull off a 97+, probably somewhere in the top 8 for 3u.
  19. muzeikchun852

    band 6 for chemistry?

it's harder to achieve band 6 for you right now. you will probably need a very high external mark to pull it off. but for band 5 is still very achievable.
  20. muzeikchun852

    After trials ranking

isn't trial your last assessment task ? if so, you just have to ace your external for maths, maybe somewhere in the mid 80s+.
