Which is better UTS BIT or UNSW BIT?

You're going to get a bias opinion on this just by asking in the UTS forum but here goes anyway: Some industry sponsors sponsor both the UNSW and UTS program. In some cases they have said that they prefer UTS graduates, sometimes because of course content and other times simple because of the...

    Worst core subject of B*IT*

So far (only in 1st year): Most difficult subject: N/A Most pointless subject: Information, Classification and Control (formerly Fundamentals of Using Google)

Any one applied for the B.IT Course?

haboozin: As far as I can remember, there's no need to take anything with you. Schroedinger: the use of a switch makes pure wired bridging redundant for the purpose of the exam. Wireless theory isn't covered in Networking 1 but I think the practical side might be apart of the CCNA 2 course...

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

Here's a scary thought. I've just enrolled in AIT in the same semester as Systems Development Project. Please someone tell me I'm not crazy.

Any one applied for the B.IT Course?

I'm not sure how closely they look at your exam marks but I know that I didn't do any business subjects in high school and on the application form I put down a pretty average mathematics mark but there is always a lot of competition. In same cases you're competing with people interstate, like...

Note to IT students selecting a sub-major

:O I was gunna choose AIT... why is it so bad?

Any one applied for the B.IT Course?

I highly recommend this resource to... not prepare for, but just get in the right frame of mind for the interview: http://www.ssu.uts.edu.au/careers/fstudents/interviewtesting/awkward.html I got asked all of those questions! They also often ask questions related to the application you filled...

Any one applied for the B.IT Course?

Last year I was notified by email, and yes they also tell you if you are unsuccessful.

Any one applied for the B.IT Course?

We put in preferences for where we wished to work, I got my first preference. I'm at OneDigital which is a full-service interactive media agency in the City. Others doing my course are at multi-nationals like American Express. You can find a list of this year's sponsors here. My role is...

Any one applied for the B.IT Course?

Most people who apply for BIT also write down BScIT/DipITPP which has the same first semester subjects. But for a more business oriented course, check out BBus/BComp. Also, if they pick up another sponsor during the first semester, they will ask a person, who applied for BIT and currently...

    BIT Application Questionaire

Hi Jimmy, I'm a 1st year BIT. You can check out some past comments in this thread: http://www.boredofstudies.org/community/showthread.php?t=75118 or by searching the forums. This year the lowest UAI was around 86 so don't stress TOO much. Keep in mind that the selection process...

    $202.50

that's what we thought... but because we do two 'industry subjects' (like a case study on the workplace that we're at) that prevents us from being exempt even though it's clear that we're working full time 8:30-17:30 5 days a week. It's bad enough having to pay 12 credit points to work for...

    $202.50

It's worse for those of us on industry placement, working from 8:30 to 17:30 every day, only dropping into Uni once a week for 3hrs of classes, at night. I won't be using any Union services...

BIT- am I a worthy candidate?!?!

I'm flattered. Back on topic... BIT can be thought of as Computing Science and Business.

BIT- am I a worthy candidate?!?!

Shuter: In this picture I am in the top row, 4th from the left. fatmuscle; There isn't a whole lot of time for BITs to mingle with BScITs. We may share some subjects in the first semester but after that we're really doing a different course. In fact we're not even at University for a...

BIT- am I a worthy candidate?!?!

Hi mayanaise, I'm a first year BIT. At least in the first year of studies you will get away with General Mathematics so that's not a problem. Standard English is fine too - they probably recommend Advanced English because of the communications point of view but I doubt they will hold it...

    First-year IT Camp 2005

Yeah they basically said they don't want to have to worry about -200- people messing around with alcohol of a night.

    HSC results

Scaling is there for a reason. IT is a dead easy course, a 6 month course which is taught over 2 years - you're expected to get 100%. I did IT (yes, it counted towards my UAI) and walked away with 92.75. Some others in my class got a similar examination mark to me too. Anyone who complains...
