I don't see a problem with abbreviating, but only if it's something that's well known and common - don't start writing "c.q." instead of cyclic quadrilateral or "aa" for alternate angles because no one knows what you're talking about it. If you see it in your book, you can probably use it.

It's all about compromise. Like, I'm doing fine with my workload + musical + other extracurricular activities, but it means my normal bed time is 1am-3am and that I don't get to hang out with friends as often as I'd like.

But seriously you need to choose between a healthy lifestyle with lots of breaks in studying or optimal studying. You either handle your workload and give up on other things, or you accept that you won't be studying as much as you should because you'd rather get things like proper sleep...

For 2017 UNSW is offering Adv Math (Co-op) which is what OP was asking about, I think.

Oh, and I should note that outside the Co-op program, Adv. Maths is much wider (in the sense that you can major in Applied or Pure, instead of Stats).
