So for the last few exams, bar today, heaps of people in my grade have been blatantly using stopwatches..The examiners maintain that they haven't "known" thus far because they haven't "heard them beeping" despite the fact that the sound of beeping echoes in the exam room every few minutes...

That really depends on what part of Sydney that you live in, doesn't it?

From what I've seen from the boredofstudies forum as well as people in real life, UOW isn't really seen as a university that people aspire or "want" to go to, unlike universities like USYD, Maq, UNSW, etc.. Why is this? Wollongong Uni seems to be a great uni, from what I've heard and seen of it.

Question: If someone gets selective entry with no conditions, but they get below the ATAR cut-off for the course they got selective entry in...What happens? Do they just withdraw the offer, or what?

Re: Possibility they will ask for 2 related texts for belonging essay or module C? No they don't. At least ONE. Meaning that they expect you to talk about at least ONE, but you can talk about more than ONE if you choose.

I honestly don't see much point in memorizing a set essay. It's a ridiculous amount of effort, and opens you up to the chance of being taken by surprise if the BOS give a "shocker" question. Personally, I think it's a lot smarter to just have a strong opinion on your text(s) and know what you're...

You're not the only person this has happened to, try not to freak out too much. They're working on fixing this and will hopefully have them sent to the people who have missed out as possible. Basically, you can expect to receive it between now and early monday.

That's a massive load off my back. I got unconditional. I remember it being said somewhere that if you REALLY bomb out then they may revise you're application..I'm assuming that if you're a few points off or something then it's fine, though. Thanks for your help. :party:

Good stuff! Did you get unconditional or provisional entry? Also, question: let's say someone gets selective entry but performs below the ATAR cut-off for the course..Does anyone actually know what happens?
