Ok I really didn't real most of your post (2.30 AM really tired) but its basically the GPE of the higher orbit- the GPE of the lower orbit... both have an increase of 10 000 and have the same masses so when applied into -Gm1m2/r u get the same answer,,,

you obviously don't snitch,,, why would you want to tell the teacher? so that he gets a 0? tell him/her off for a bit and that's it...
