muslims prove they're not backwards lunatics; leaglise child marriage

Prefacing this by stating I have no allegiance to any religion or group being discussed here. I usually do not participate in these threads but to be honest, sexual violence is a touchy subject to me and some of the things that have been stated here really abrade against my moral fibre. I...

    hamlet study

Do not take these as absolute truth, for they are mere recommendations: 1. Read through the text. If you come across words you do not understand, since Shakespearean language can indeed be unsettling, your text should provide you meanings to works either at the bottom of each page or at the end...

    Year 11 2014 Chat :)

Just try to relax. You are still in Year 11 and I do not say this to trivialise your issues, but more to remind you that if you want to put some time to yourself, you should not feel guilty about it. You really should not be overworked in Year 11 since it is a preparation year above everything...

    So damn confused

No. You are going to have negative experiences in your life once in a while and you should take this as a lesson. You should not quit just because your effort was seemingly not rewarded once, especially when you said this is the first time in a long while you have tried hard in mathematics...

    Malpractice in half yearlies

Possibly, but I can't be sure. I don't know the technicalities of it all, especially since one of the potential consequences is "loss of one or more courses towards the HSC award." As Advanced English is required in order for English Extension 1 or 2 to be done, potentially a loss of Advanced...

    Malpractice in half yearlies

It depends on the measures that are taken. As per the Board of Studies site, one or more of the following can apply: — reduced marks for all or part of the examination — zero marks for part or all of the examination — an interview with a ‘malpractice’ panel at the Board of Studies — loss...

Most interesting section of Modern History

I did China for my national study and Ho Chi Minh for my personality study. So everything interlinked rather well and had a fair amount of similarities.

Most interesting section of Modern History

All of them were relatively interesting to me and I suppose it depends on what you do for your national study, personality study and international study. If I were to pick, I probably found the international study most interesting (I did Conflict in Indochina).

Should you date someone that is significantly taller or shorter than you?

15 centimetre heels? Reading that made me cringe ahahah I am sure other girls like you can pull it off but for me personally that could only result in disaster and discomfort

Should you date someone that is significantly taller or shorter than you?

you would look like a basketball duo :awesome: that's really not significant at all lol it would make the male 5"8' for me

Should you date someone that is significantly taller or shorter than you?

I would probably say significantly taller/shorter is ~15 centimetres. Maybe ~20 centimetres though. Significant makes it sound... significant. I don't think I've ever met a female that says she prefers males shorter than her. :p

Should you date someone that is significantly taller or shorter than you?

It depends on the individual and their dating methods, e.g. obviously not all individuals are going to go straight into dating someone. Some people date after developing a fairly decent friendship, of which personality attributes will become more notable.

Should you date someone that is significantly taller or shorter than you?

I agree with what you are saying, however what I am more saying is in the long-term scheme of things, personality attributes are going to ultimately be more significant than physical attributes. And it could be argued for some individuals that in getting to know someone, personality attributes...

Should you date someone that is significantly taller or shorter than you?

Like most physical attributes, it does not really matter, but individuals have preferences anyway. With that said, I prefer someone taller than me, which probably would not be that hard to achieve. :awesome:

liking someone you constantly see on a public transport

Maybe you are just not ready. Do not hate yourself for passing on situations like these, after all, you are always going to have more opportunities in the future.

    AOS creative writing

Funnily enough, I received the same advice from my own teacher. Basically, what your teacher is suggesting is to start your story in media res which means in the midst of things. Since you do only have 40 minutes, try to get into the action as soon as possible. Some examples are writing about...

    Creative writing help!

Usually an image can be effectively integrated into the story if it happens to be a setting. Otherwise, as strawberrye said, you can just incorporate it literally or metaphysically. For example, an image of a closed door would reflect a feeling of not belonging, so you could use that as a...

    Attendance

It should be counted as a partial absence in your records.

liking someone you constantly see on a public transport

Well, if you're too shy as to even talk to him, then there's very little you can do. Unless you think he's going to eventually approach you.

    Help asap!

Yes, in paragraphs 2 and 3 I do repetitive integration, since the body paragraphs have to be relatively detailed. The reason why I do one whole paragraph on the prescribed text, just in case you are wondering, is more to "set the scene" so to say. Ultimately, the prescribed text is the most...
