Taking on further study during your senior years.

Yeah, it's outside of the HSC. It has nothing to do with my HSC or school work, it would be an extra thing.. Thank you!

Taking on further study during your senior years.

Hey! Thank you for your advice! Just one thing though, this is COMPLETELY independent from school. So, it doesn't count towards any units or anything, I would be doing it in my spare time

Taking on further study during your senior years.

Hi everyone! I'm just wondering about the idea of taking on further studies whilst in senior years. Currently I'm undertaking year 11 and doing: Adv English, Ext. 1 English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, SOR I U and legal studies. However I'm dropping Physics at the end of the year, and may...

    Speeches

In saying that, it is still important to have fantastic content as well, good public speaking does not guarantee you the top mark! Although it definitely is important, and there is nothing worse than boring the 'you know what' out of your audience, but sometimes the best public speakers in a...

    SOR II or Legal Studies???!!!?

Personally, I do SOR I unit (as it is compulsory at Catholic schools) and Legal Studies, both are really interesting courses and I guess it should come down to personal preference. Would you rather learn about the various world religions and traditions, such as Judaism and Islam, or Buddhism and...

    Help for sor

The best advice for SOR is to read a get a hold on the syllabus. Once you understand the syllabus then you can get rid of all of the extra information teachers yap about but will never assess you on. You can find the syllabus on the Board of Studies website. Read through your textbook and class...

    Practice Prelim Exams

Thanks so much Spi! I'm kind of struggling with Physics and Maths so anything is greatly appreciated! It just seems no matter how much study I do for them, it doesn't seem to work :(

    Practice Prelim Exams

Um, mainly looking for Physics (World Communicates and Moving About), Chemistry (Chemical Earth and Metals) and Mathematics (m god, a lot-trigonometry, functions/graphs etc) if anyone has and Legal than that would be cool (The Legal System) but it's not as important as the Maths and Sciences.

General Othello Thesis Vibe. Anyone want to tell me what they think?

Hi guys, I've got an assessment coming up on our critical study (Othello) and I've come up with a bit of a thesis on my understanding of the play. Be appreciated if anyone wants to have a look and tell me what they think? Here it is: 'Othello is in essence a tragic hero, whose downfall lies...

Should I sit the UMAT if even I have a tiny inkling to do medicine?

Hey guys, I know it may be just a little early to even be thinking of this but hey, I read something tonight about the UMAT exams. In the past I have thought about potentially doing medicine, if I haven't completely ruled it out, should I sit the UMAT exam next year, just in case I decide to do it?

Yr11 student PLEASE, URGENTLY NEED ADVICE

In terms of study, you should be doing a lot more than ten hours a week. Most schools recomend at least three hours on a school night and 6 each weekend day. Of course, that much may be a little excessive and if you have only just started studying may be extemely difficult. Give it time...

Anyone here still undecided on what they want to do in University?

For me, I chose what I loved doing and what my aim was in regards to contributing to the world. I decided that I loved the English and writing sides of things and I also decided that I wanted to help people. Science was also appealing to me as well and I find people's emotions/dreams etc. very...

Part Time Job and Senior Studies-am I doing too much?

At times I struggle a lot-especially around times when I have a lot of assessments... I don't get to see very much of my friends outside of school either due to me spending my weekends (when I'm not working) catching up/making study notes/assessments etc.
