Congrats :) Did you find ABDB easier than ABDA?

I found Accounting alright, but it required alot of work whilst compared to other subjects. You seem like a maths person to me! Well, Accounting A doesn't have much maths than 'addition, subtraction, multiplication and division' lol

    Google Glass in classroom

Assuming you means this technology: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8lScHO2mM0 Where did you get it, it was made available to very limited people for testing. It's not even released yet, its going to be available next year and the starting cost is ~$1500.00

    The Uni lifestyle

No, they don't check at all apart from those subjects which have the 'homework/class participation' option. It's like being offered a glass of water. If you drink it, it's great for you. If you don't, they don't care. It's not like they force you to drink it. LOL In my case, I did most of the...

GPA: 3.38/4 or 6/7 on the universal scale. Credit Points: 24 Assuming 1HD, 2D's and 1C. Guessing that I got a Credit for Accounting for Business Decisions A, the clichéd 'hardest Business subject' at UTS! (though left an entire section in the Accounting exam paper worth 20 marks due to bad...

Shortest Pathway into Medicine, with an atar of 96?

I was stuck in a very similar situation last year. Having received an Atar well below the Medicine cut-off, I straight away knew that Medicine was a distant dream for me. I approached a lot of people. When I say A LOT, I really mean it. My numerous posts from last year are probably still out...

    Google Glass in classroom

Also, lecturers and tutors would want to know what their students are browsing/viewing! With Google glasses, this would not be possible! Laptops and Tablets allow other end-users to view the content, hence monitor the 'ethical' and 'appropriate' behaviour of the student.

    Google Glass in classroom

HOLY GLASSES! I just googled this and found out what it is! As an IT student, I'm very interested in this. Where did you get it, how much did it cost? As for banning this, I think its a relatively 'new' technology and everyone does not have access to it; so shouldn't be allowed. It can be used...

    Wam & gpa

Thank you for your input :) Its funny how you bring in statistics! I'll be doing that next semester. Btw what are you studying and where?

Just on a similar note, do universities scale your finial scores before posting them in the upcoming weeks? For example, lets say that I missed out on a HD for a subject by 1.85 (83.15/85) < according to the weightings which I calculated myself. Would the final marks be the same or would they...

UNSW COM/LAW from MAQ COM/LAW - transfer help needed!!!!!

Read this and you shall get your confirmation! http://community.boredofstudies.org/showthread.php?t=253865&page=2 Edit: I've fetched this for you; 'Experience suggests you require at least a Distinction average in your tertiary study and a UAI or equivalent over 96 in order for your application...

UNSW COM/LAW from MAQ COM/LAW - transfer help needed!!!!!

I have friends at USYD who are doing B. Arts and received atars in the mid 80's (~85 each); both trying to transfer into B. Law next year. They told me that they need ~ a HD average. So a GPA of >6.5/7 would be competitive for them as their atar was considerably low. You stand a good change with...

UNSW COM/LAW from MAQ COM/LAW - transfer help needed!!!!!

Dude are you mentally stable o.O You haved failed all your subjects for the first semester, so don't worry about transferring from Macquarie law/commerce yet! Worry about your present situation and the ways you can deal with your 'personal problems' so that it doesn't halt your progress in the...

B.Commerce/B.Laws: Transferring, WAM and employment opportunities

Re: Please understand my dire situation (ALL FAIL) and HELP ME CHOOSE FROM MY OPTIONS If I was to choose between these two (both at credit average), I'd go with Commerce/Law as its more flexible in terms of job opportunities. I can't answer by 'how much'... but I believe thats better.

B.Commerce/B.Laws: Transferring, WAM and employment opportunities

Re: Please understand my dire situation (ALL FAIL) and HELP ME CHOOSE FROM MY OPTIONS Hasn't this been answered already? Anyways, a pass in Commerce/Law won't get you far (probably not the top firms), but will get you a job in one of those small firms with s*** pay as a start. However, this is...

B.Commerce/B.Laws: Transferring, WAM and employment opportunities

Re: Please understand my dire situation (ALL FAIL) and HELP ME CHOOSE FROM MY OPTIONS Maybe you don't like economics and thats one of the reasons to why you aren't doing so well! Maybe try combining economics with something that you are passionate about! But I would recommend that you transfer...

B.Commerce/B.Laws: Transferring, WAM and employment opportunities

Re: Please understand my dire situation (ALL FAIL) and HELP ME CHOOSE FROM MY OPTIONS I assume that you come from one of those 'top 100 schools' where kids just memorise the content and think they'll do well - but it doesn't work in university. People like you angry me, so many kids out...

    Help me choose my major!

I thought that economics was more theory based than maths.. guess that's where I'm wrong! I might do finance or accounting as my major for business, but that's if I can handle the maths! Thanks for your input everyone :)

First semester and already over uni

For motivation, you need competition. Hang around people who aspire to do well and you'll do well yourself. That is if you study of course.
