Do we really care about english?

as if this is true, disliking something and not caring are two completely different things, im pretty sure a lot more than half of all students care about 2 units that go towards their hsc, regardless of whether those english skills are essential in life or not, that's not the point in the hsc

Do we really care about english?

be positive!! i think the fact that english is separated into two sessions gives us a better chance to do well in it, the night before first exam paper, you can just look over 2 pieces of writing, and then the next day, you can just look over 3 topics/prepared responses , thats not even much!!! :)

Do we really care about english?

yes, a lot of people find english extremely annoying and sucky, me being one of them, but we should all rejoice in the fact that compared to a lot of other subjects, there is a lot less content to know, and say if you prepare a creative story with both belonging to people and places...

Do we really care about english?

this is true, why is english put in front of maths in terms of importance in life, maths is everywhere, even in tourism im the only person in my class that does some type of maths and because of this everyone else finds extreme difficulty in working out simple things like commission and the...

    Historical period

well im doing the other NKE topic, buttt anyway :) have you looked at past papers? is that the trend for the setup of questions, one from each section? if it is always like that, then im sure it will give you a fair idea of what to expect, although you cannot completely rely on this as no one...

    Question about studying

whenever i do a past paper, its just not the same pressure as the actual thing, like i can't get myself into that mindset and time limit to answer, i'm just too calm and content, because i know its not the real thing, how do you guys get into that exam state of mind?
  13. jessxxr

    Question about studying

everyone has different methods of learning their stuff best, personally this is what works for me :)
  14. jessxxr

    Question about studying

i think its fine that you're referring back to your notes if you're not completely sure with the question. When i do past papers, at first i always use my notes to write up the practice answers because how else are we suppose to learn how to put the content in context, and this means we learn...

Studying all 7 Harwood poems for HSC?

this is exactly how i feel for Kenneth Slessor's poems, i originally was only going to focus mainly on three of his poems, but my teacher said we should know all because we never know if they are going to specify certain poems :/ :/

  19. jessxxr

    worried....

no what you're doing now is perfect as you don't need to waste time finishing your notes, so you're doing pure study just revising and practicing

is it just me, or does this subject have an insane amount of content?

yeah truee but for me i think its less effective using other people's notes, with your own you've included everything you think you would need, you understand it more, its familiar to you etc etc. thanks anyway!! :)
