I don't like to encourage these things, but you'll be fine not going to the friday lecture at all so long as you keep on top of your work at home using lecture slides/textbook etc
On a side note, engineering with fundamental maths units? good luck.
might not be able to do that as easily because medicine has 30 people per year so chances are they'll all know each other and lecturers will be able to tell when there are extras.
No you can't do fundamental courses for maths in any engineering course as the MATH100X units will be prerequisites to alot of units you will do later.
For 1002, (assuming you've only done 3U) it should be completely new content and the only stuff you'll need to be good in for that is just basic factorising/algebra.
For 1001, I dont quite recall correctly but i think auxillary angles may have been in the course briefly.
Even though the university will not admit this, judging my reactions/results from previous years. If you can get your Unikey/SID using the above webpage then you can safely assume you have been offered a place at USYD, however which course you made it into you, you won't know until 9pm tomorrow...
